There were many happy supporters leaving Tisbury Methodist Church on Friday 11th September following a hugely successful WHBT return to public meetings. Our new supporter literature, newsletter signups and donations facilities were out in full force, set up for the day by our two Cambridge placement students. The Director, Chair and Trustees were also on hand to meet and talk to those attending, and refreshments were enjoyed by all.
Prof. Tim Mowl’s lecture on his new book, All Around is Fairy Ground: Pleasure and the Regency Garden was very popular and highly engaging, with questions and discussions with the room following the talk. We are very grateful for his enthusiastic contribution to the day’s success, and thank him for presenting this new research to our meeting.
Huge thanks are due to the Methodist Church for providing a perfect venue, and Tisbury History Society to supporting our AV set-up, book sales, and the serving of tea and biscuits.
