ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The fifty-eighth annual general meeting of the Wiltshire Historic Buildings Trust will be held at Christ Church Community Hall, Christ Church, Cricklade Street, Swindon at 12 noon on Friday 26th September.

Following the meeting there will be a site visit to the rarely opened, C12th and C13th Holy Rood in the Lawns, a short walk away.  The church is the oldest standing building in Swindon, with only the chancel and the aisle piers of the former nave remaining, and contains some interesting monuments.  Closed for some years, the building has recently suffered extensive vandalism and structural movement. WHBT is working closely with Christ Church and Swindon Borough Council, who owns the building, to secure its repair and to bring the church and its church yard back into active community use.

If you wish to attend the AGM, please email the trust to notify us via the form on our Contact page, to ensure adequate space is provided.

Numbers for the site visit will be strictly limited due to the fragility of the site, and will be allocated on the basis of the date and time on which confirmation of attendance is received.
